Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment of MaxMine IoT systems at mining operations through installation and commissioning of hardware on mining equipment
• Manage contractors, site teams, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
• Own project outcomes across scope, schedule, cost, risk, and safety
• Troubleshoot technical issues in real-time and make independent decisions in high-pressure environments
• Develop design requirements, installation documentation, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Coordinate logistics and engage with suppliers to support system integration and configuration

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering (or a similar discipline)
• 2–5 years of experience in engineering, mining, construction, or project-based environments
• Proven ability to travel regularly to remote sites in Australia and internationally
• Valid driver’s licence and a valid passport
• Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience coordinating contractors or working directly in site-based roles
• Practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving and technical troubleshooting
• Ability to work effectively in physically and culturally diverse environments
