About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as a deputy to the Project Manager, providing backup and coordination for internal and external engineering activities.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary interfaces and manage communication across engineering functions to meet project objectives.
  • Ensure technical requirements from the scope of work are properly incorporated into engineering deliverables.
  • Lead and coordinate Design Reviews in collaboration with discipline team leaders.
  • Compile technical documents for the Job Change Notice process and coordinate technical claims or issues.
  • Provide liaison services between engineering and construction, including reviewing scope documents and supporting bid reviews.
  • Review and provide input on P&IDs and maintain the equipment list and Quantity Tracking Matrix (QTM).
  • Assist with field commissioning, start-up, and performing shop checkouts before shipment.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering (BSME or BSChE preferred).
  • 5 years of engineering experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a process-oriented E/C company or an operating company with project engineering duties.
  • Broad understanding of major design disciplines: Piping, Equipment, Process, Civil/Structural, Instrumentation, and Electrical.
  • Basic understanding of continuous flow chemical/physical processes (hydrocarbon processing, hydrogen production, or air separation).
  • Willingness to travel approximately 40%, with potential for extended travel during commissioning or start-up phases.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) accreditation.
