Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and interpret drawings and specifications
• Solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
• Review estimated productions with Superintendents to finalize bids
• Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules
• Assemble and regularly update job cost codes
• Prepare details for Project Managers to submit pay estimates to Owners
• Monitor production, resource utilization, and job costs vs. estimates
• Manage project close-out activities including punch lists, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3-4 years of related construction experience
• Strong organizational skills
• Effective verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors, owners, and contractors
• Ability to manage budget, schedule, and quality across multiple sites
• Competency in performing accurate project take-offs and estimates

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
