Project Engineer, Heavy Civil Construction

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
• Assist in the development and maintenance of the project master schedule using Primavera
• Perform monthly schedule updates and complete Time Impact Analysis (TIA)
• Manage short-term schedule development, including 90-day and 3-week look-ahead schedules
• Inspect field conditions to identify inaccuracies, problems, or cost-saving opportunities
• Track project change orders and assist with the development of projections
• Complete progress and quantity audits to validate reported project progress
• Produce monthly reports regarding schedule, cost progress, trends, and forecasts
• Support project managers in the development of project procedures and quality control protocols
• Travel to jobsites as required

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Project Controls or Project Engineering
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Primavera scheduling software
• Proven experience performing Monthly Schedule Updates and Time Impact Analysis
• Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies in engineering plans and specifications
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel and work on-site in Santa Clara, CA

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience utilizing SAP
• Experience in heavy civil construction or large-scale infrastructure projects
