About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design power hardware for AC motor drives, including rectifiers/inverters, switch-mode power supplies, magnetics, and gate drivers
  • Use simulation tools to model, design, and troubleshoot complex power electronics circuits
  • Design high-voltage printed circuit boards (PCBs) following engineering and manufacturing requirements
  • Troubleshoot complex field issues and identify root causes of failure
  • Research and qualify new components and sub-systems for future product roadmaps
  • Ensure compliance with global regulatory and certification standards for electrical safety, EMC, and harmonics
  • Collaborate with the hardware development team to drive innovation and continuous process improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering field
  • Legal authorization to work in the US (sponsorship is not available for this role)
  • Experience with power electronics circuits
  • Proficiency in simulation tools for circuit design and troubleshooting
  • Skills in PCB design

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Electronics
  • 5+ years of related experience in power electronics or AC drives
  • Experience with analog and digital circuit design for protection circuits and signal conditioning
  • Knowledge of PWM techniques, motor control algorithms, and wide band-gap semiconductor devices
  • Experience with low- and high-frequency magnetics design
  • Familiarity with UL, CSA, and CE standards
