Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and oversee all phases of the project, including design schedule tracking and integration between disciplines
• Manage project revenue, costs, cash flow, and job cost tracking/forecasting
• Lead project engineering on moderately complex projects, including temporary engineering requirements
• Manage permanent design, quality control, and overall design coordination
• Administer and manage contracts and subcontracts, including responsibility for design subcontracts
• Train and support field and office engineers in accurate submittals, RFIs, and project documentation
• Develop and implement project control plans and oversee the overall job schedule
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle and manage project closeout activities
• Mentor and manage other Project Engineers

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of work experience in construction
• Experience managing engineers
• Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
• Ability to travel to various locations as required by project needs
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, ethics, and integrity
