Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, execute, and close high-impact capital investment (CAPEX) projects for the Sahagún plant.
• Elaborate project scopes, DTI’s, layouts, and engineering diagrams.
• Develop or contract basic and detail engineering.
• Administer CAPEX budgets, control expenses, and ensure compliance against the plan.
• Prepare requisitions, manage purchase orders, and control payments within SAP.
• Perform technical and financial project closures in accordance with company policies.
• Supervise civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control works.
• Manage and supervise contractors (ranging from 10–50 people).
• Ensure compliance with safety, engineering, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with internal areas including maintenance, production, quality, safety, and finance.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience managing capital projects within an industrial environment.
• Proven experience in basic and detail engineering, construction supervision, and contractor management.
• Experience with equipment installation and industrial processes.
• Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project.
• Basic knowledge of SAP.
• English proficiency at B2/C1 level (indispensable).
• Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and work under pressure.
