Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Complete engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements from start to finish
• Develop project objectives by reviewing proposals and consulting with stakeholders
• Identify project phases, assign personnel, and evaluate subcontractor bids
• Prepare technical studies, cost estimates, and project status reports
• Confirm product performance through design reviews, analysis, and field testing
• Establish and maintain project schedules and monitor progress
• Manage project costs and oversee contractor performance and compliance
• Enforce site safety and cleanliness in compliance with industry regulations
• Maintain accurate digital project records and ensure regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth execution

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management
• 2–5+ years of experience in utility-scale solar, renewables, or power generation
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Experience with scheduling tools like Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
• Proficiency in CAD and AutoCAD
• Valid U.S. driver’s license
• Willingness to travel up to 100% to project locations

Preferred Qualifications

• Spanish-speaking ability
• OSHA 10/30 certification
• Expertise in construction means and methods for solar energy
• Experience supervising subcontractors and field staff
