About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop design concepts using 2D drawings and advanced 3D modeling techniques
- Perform comprehensive engineering calculations to validate design integrity and functionality
- Gather and analyze input data essential to project assignments
- Proactively suggest value additions for product design, manufacturing methods, and material usage
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to address queries and provide updates
- Adhere to company design procedures, standards, and project management protocols
- Report progress and challenges to the Manager or Project Leader promptly
Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in heavy engineering and product development
- BE/BTech degree in Mechanical Engineering with a strong academic record (70% or 7.5 CGPA minimum)
- Expertise in hydraulics, structural design, mechanism design, and engineering materials
- Proficiency in using Creo 9 for detailed design
- Experience with Teamcenter PLM tools
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, including GD&T and tolerance analysis
