Project Engineer - Electronics

Responsibilities

• Review License Agreements and Sample Contract Flow downs to ensure adherence to all technical requirements
• Provide technical input for change requests, risk assessments, and capital expenditure (CAPEX) evaluations
• Identify technical risks early in the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between Engineering, Operations, and Quality departments
• Contribute to engineering estimates including material, labor, and change impact assessments
• Resolve supplier technical inquiries and assist with drawing or specification interpretation
• Troubleshoot assembly and test-related problems and oversee production processes
• Develop manufacturing planning, including Bills of Materials (BOM), and modify technical manuals or Service Bulletins
• Mitigate obsolescence issues by modifying current product designs and embedded firmware
• Design assembly/test tooling and shop aids as required

Requirements

• 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, including electronic product design, planning, testing, and fabrication
• Proficiency with Altium, LABVIEW, and MATLAB
• Knowledge of aerospace product qualification and familiarity with FAA/Military certification requirements
• Experience setting up or relocating production lines
• Strong project management, cross-functional coordination, and technical writing skills
• Must meet export control compliance requirements (U.S. Person status)
