Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate electrical and ICA design activities with in-house teams, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Ensure electrical designs comply with client specifications, BS7671, and industry standards
  • Take ownership of electrical and ICA work packages from design through procurement, installation, and commissioning
  • Manage package delivery against programme milestones, budgets, and quality requirements
  • Provide technical leadership in LV systems, motor control centres (MCCs), instrumentation, and electrical distribution networks
  • Coordinate FATs, SATs, and integrated system testing
  • Work closely with procurement teams to develop technical specifications and evaluate supplier proposals
  • Act as a key technical interface with client representatives and regulatory stakeholders
  • Coordinate design integration with civil, mechanical, and process engineers to minimize clashes

Requirements

  • Degree or Higher National qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience working on waste and clean water projects in the UK & Ireland
  • Good understanding of WIMES specifications and standards
  • Up to date knowledge of BS7671 standards
  • Experience with HV (desirable)
  • Understanding of PLC, SCADA, telemetry, and networked control systems
  • Solid understanding of construction practices and standards
  • Ability to manage supplier and subcontractor performance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HV systems
  • Specialist knowledge of the Water Industry engineering disciplines
