Project Engineer - Electrical

Responsibilities

• Provide project management and Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) engineering support for refinery process operations.
• Manage multiple small capital and expense projects ranging from $20,000 to $5,000,000.
• Define project scope, develop cost estimates, create schedules, and secure funding approval.
• Ensure compliance with Management of Change (MOC), Process Safety Information (PSI), and mechanical integrity documentation.
• Coordinate with in-house designers and outside engineering consultants to complete projects cost-effectively.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Construction, and Turnaround teams to support planning and execution.
• Develop and review construction packages to ensure compliance with industry codes and standards.
• Provide E&I technical support, troubleshooting, and assistance to area teams during process unit Turnarounds.
• Participate in HAZOP and LOPA reviews and incident investigations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Valid driver's license.
• Authorization to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without sponsorship.
• Ability to wear all required PPE, work at elevated heights, enter confined spaces, and use respirators.
• Strong organizing, planning, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of post-degree engineering experience in the refining or petrochemical industry.
• Familiarity with Smart Instrumentation (SI) and electrical analysis software.
