About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist in project management and bid preparation
- Prepare RFIs, submittals, payment requisitions, and change order requests
- Perform quantity takeoffs for material, subcontractor, and self-performed work
- Solicit quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
- Assist in evaluating job costs and maintaining critical path schedules
- Develop one and two-week look-ahead schedules to verify resource availability
- Order materials and schedule deliveries with suppliers
- Calculate daily costs based on timesheets and work performed
- Compile extra work orders with necessary backup documentation
- Complete timesheets and daily reports
- Use AutoCAD to develop coordinates and set up GPS
- Perform layout with the surveying crew as a rod man
