Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform field walk down assessments of jobsites to facilitate office layouts in AutoCAD for heavy lifts and transports
• Assist with basic load calculations and structural analysis to ensure safe lifting operations
• Obtain working knowledge of Barnhart heavy lift and specialty rigging equipment to provide customer solutions
• Aid in identifying and sourcing cranes, rigging equipment, and materials for projects
• Assist in preparing project documentation including lift plans, inspection reports, and operating procedures
• Support coordination of delivery and setup of cranes and rigging equipment to job sites
• Track project timelines and report progress to senior engineers or project managers
• Function as field technical liaison for critical lifts including risk management and safety evaluations

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field from an ABET accredited 4-year university
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Basic experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software beneficial
• Problem-solving and analytical expertise
• Strong communication skills for reporting and client interaction

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD
• Strong mathematical skills
