About the role
Responsibilities
- Support senior engineers in creating lift plans, including crane selection and rigging configurations
- Perform basic load calculations and structural analysis for safe lifting operations
- Assist in preparing project documentation such as lift plans and inspection reports
- Coordinate the delivery and setup of cranes and rigging equipment to job sites
- Provide on-site technical assistance during lifting and rigging operations
- Track project timelines and report progress to management
- Participate in site inspections to identify potential hazards or safety risks
- Assist in identifying and managing operational risk in line with OSHA and ASME regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field from an ABET accredited 4-year university
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Fundamental understanding of engineering principles related to cranes and rigging
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to visit job sites regularly and work in outdoor or hazardous environments
- Must pass a drug test, fit for duty, and background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineer In Training (EIT) credentials
- 0-2 years of experience in crane operations, rigging, or heavy lifting projects
- Basic experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD
