Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support senior engineers in creating lift plans, including crane selection and rigging configurations
• Perform basic load calculations and structural analysis for safe lifting operations
• Assist in preparing project documentation such as lift plans and inspection reports
• Coordinate the delivery and setup of cranes and rigging equipment to job sites
• Provide on-site technical assistance during lifting and rigging operations
• Track project timelines and report progress to management
• Participate in site inspections to identify potential hazards or safety risks
• Assist in identifying and managing operational risk in line with OSHA and ASME regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field from an ABET accredited 4-year university
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Fundamental understanding of engineering principles related to cranes and rigging
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to visit job sites regularly and work in outdoor or hazardous environments
• Must pass a drug test, fit for duty, and background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineer In Training (EIT) credentials
• 0-2 years of experience in crane operations, rigging, or heavy lifting projects
• Basic experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD
