Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work with site engineering and maintenance resources to develop project scope and objectives
• Follow project front-end loading processes to identify project phases and design requirements
• Develop project estimates including equipment, construction, and commissioning costs
• Perform project financial analysis and provide leadership through the approval process
• Coordinate mechanical, process, and electrical design with in-house and contracted resources
• Maintain project schedules by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems
• Control project costs by monitoring purchases, construction, and commissioning expenses
• Assist with daily construction management support and maintain design and commissioning documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering preferred
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the ability to influence peers and management

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant project engineering experience
• Industrial plant experience specifically within chemical processing
