Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop basic and executive projects for hydropower plants and synchronous compensation plants in substations, including electrical systems and automation.
• Create technical documentation such as single-line diagrams, functional diagrams, flowcharts, descriptive memorandums, and calculation reports.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, field teams, procurement, and planning departments.
• Supervise and perform electrical system studies, including short-circuit, selectivity, lighting, and lightning protection (SPDA) calculations.
• Manage project activities, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure delivery milestones and performance indicators are met.
• Evaluate technical specifications and sub-supplier documentation to ensure complete integration into the executive project.
• Act as a technical reference for the team and a point of contact for internal and external clients.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related fields.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English.
• Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Package.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Eplan, AutoCAD, Inventor, and/or Revit.
• Proficiency in Spanish.
