Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct wind resource assessments by analyzing meteorological data and performing energy yield calculations to optimize farm layouts.
• Support site selection and feasibility studies through wind measurement campaigns, GIS analysis, and data validation.
• Provide technical and commercial analysis for the Investment Team regarding onshore wind, solar PV, and battery storage technologies.
• Participate in technical Due Diligence for new projects, including ownership of specific DD workstreams.
• Support the selection of OEMs and contractors by performing technical and commercial evaluations.
• Assist in the preparation of tender request documents, including drafting, evaluation, and negotiation processes.
• Provide critical inputs (CAPEX, OPEX, energy yield, and construction periods) to support financial modeling scenarios.
• Manage engineering-related service providers and consultants during the project development stage.
• Perform site visits to potential investment opportunities and support technical development from early-stage screening to ready-to-build.

Requirements

• BSc. Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of project engineering experience specifically in Wind or Solar projects.
• Proven expertise in Energy Yield Assessments.
• Proficiency in industry software such as Microsoft Project, PVSyst, WindPRO, or AutoCAD.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) at a business level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Post Graduate degree in Renewable Energy.
