Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all engineering and field activities for new construction and renovation projects
• Support Project Managers in completing projects on schedule through effective communication and coordination
• Collaborate with BAS application engineers to develop shop drawings, submittals, and graphical interfaces
• Provide quality assurance for engineering packages and modify them as necessary
• Interpret project plans, specifications, and end-user standards
• Proactively communicate technical issues to project managers, technicians, and subcontractors
• Manage commissioning requirements, check-outs, and start-up activities to ensure system functionality
• Maintain redlines and coordinate field markups for As-Built documentation
• Mentor lower-level team members and participate in solutions-based discussions with stakeholders

Requirements

• 4+ years of equivalent experience or a bachelor's degree in engineering/computer technology with 2+ years of experience
• Understanding of building construction, HVAC Controls, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) programming and graphics (e.g., Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider)
• Ability to communicate technical material to non-technical audiences
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
