Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as the program’s technical authority, responsible for overall technical design, system architecture, and hardware/software integration
• Lead multi-disciplined engineering teams through the design, integration, and delivery of complex flight training and simulation devices
• Review and provide technical direction on requirements, specifications, designs, and test plans
• Identify technical risks and integration challenges, recommending solutions such as resource reallocation or technical approach changes
• Coordinate engineering activities across small- and large-scale programs within a matrixed organization
• Interface directly with government customers, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve technical issues
• Support new business development and proposal efforts by contributing technical expertise and cost inputs

Requirements

• 7+ years of engineering experience
• 5+ years of experience developing complex hardware/software systems
• Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams
• Experience working with government customers to translate needs into technical requirements
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Software, Computer, Aerospace, or related discipline)
• Experience with flight-based training/simulation devices or simulator design and testing
• 3+ years of direct experience as a Project Engineer in flight-based simulation systems
• Strong background in software development
• Experience with flight simulation industry standards and regulatory requirements
