Project & Energy Manager

Responsibilities

• Drive the Energy Roadmap for Mexico, including renewable energy sourcing and fuel switching, to align with long-term sustainability targets.
• Develop and implement energy strategies to minimize carbon emissions and support Net Zero goals (Scope 1 & 2).
• Identify, propose, and manage energy efficiency and sustainability projects, establishing clear timelines and milestones.
• Implement, certify, and maintain the ISO 50001 Energy Management System to ensure best-in-class performance and data integrity.
• Monitor energy consumption (electricity, natural gas, LP gas, and diesel) and conduct energy audits to optimize usage.
• Ensure legal compliance regarding energy topics and manage reporting for emissions and pollution reduction activities.
• Evaluate emerging energy technologies and industry trends to advise on decarbonization strategies and cost reduction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in energy management or project management.
• Proven experience in the development, implementation, and certification of ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems.
• Extensive knowledge of energy efficiency technologies and energy markets.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to execute complex sustainability initiatives.
• Proficient in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the aluminum or foundry industry.
• Knowledge of GHG protocol and other sustainability frameworks.
• Certifications in ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 50001 (Energy Management).
• Experience in emissions management and reporting.
