Project Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed electrical engineering tasks including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and electrical system design
• Prepare electrical calculations, drawings, specifications, technical reports, and project cost estimates
• Execute moderately complex electrical design assignments applying sound engineering judgment
• Serve as a technical liaison between federal clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams
• Coordinate electrical design efforts with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated outcomes
• Support project planning, cost control, procurement coordination, and progress tracking
• Participate in site visits, inspections, and testing/commissioning activities
• Provide oversight or mentorship to less experienced engineers and technical staff
• Ensure designs align with NEC, NFPA standards, and federal agency requirements

Requirements

• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical design
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Deep understanding of DoD, VA, and federal design standards
