Project Director

Responsibilities

• Direct the entire lifecycle of large-scale, high-impact projects from initiation to completion.
• Supervise project managers and cross-functional teams, providing guidance and fostering a productive environment.
• Monitor budgets, optimize resources, and approve critical financial decisions.
• Identify potential risks, establish mitigation strategies, and ensure adherence to legal and safety regulations.
• Report on progress and manage expectations through regular communication with executives and clients.
• Ensure all projects meet high-quality standards and established performance metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex, and high-budget projects.
• Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Jira, or Asana.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for executive-level reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience in the successful delivery of £50m+ programmes of work.
• Experience managing portfolios of technically and commercially complex projects within the electrical engineering sector.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
