Project Director - Utilities

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-departmental teams in the planning, design, construction, and commissioning of infrastructure and utility requirements for a new entertainment resort complex.
• Manage the execution of enabling infrastructure including mass grading, water management, utility supplies, and central energy plants.
• Coordinate with UK utility statutory undertakers to align works with project schedules, budgets, and contractor phasing.
• Oversee project budgeting, scheduling, and financial planning to ensure delivery within assigned targets.
• Direct all aspects of enabling works, including procurement, stakeholder engagement, and field operations management.
• Maintain rigorous document control, including RFIs, submittals, and design drawings, to ensure successful project completion.
• Provide leadership and professional development guidance to direct reports within the Universal Destinations & Experiences division.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in construction project management and infrastructure construction delivery.
• Strong knowledge of enabling infrastructure, specifically mass grading, water management, and utilities.
• Direct experience working with utility statutory undertakers in the UK.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Power BI, Excel, and Word.
• Experience using Bluebeam or equivalent PDF software.
• Ability to interpret and understand complex design and construction drawings.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the UK and occasionally internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
• SIA licensing and/or relevant executive security certifications.
• Experience in project scheduling, estimating, bidding processes, and contract negotiations.
