About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain excellent working relationships with client teams, designers, consultants, sub-contractors and 3rd party stakeholders
- Maintain company reputation for collaborative approach, delivering safely, on time, within budget, and defect free
- Manage operational aspects of the project to minimise risks and maximise opportunities
- Develop and maintain a robust construction programme
- Ensure procurement schedule is aligned to the construction programme
- Oversee the appointment of all sub-contractors and suppliers
- Oversee the preparation and management of the construction phase health and safety plan
- Lead on Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental compliance
- Organise team structure to optimise resource use
- Work with the project commercial team to ensure delivery within approved cost plans
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Director with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor
- Experience delivering end-to-end construction for large schemes (£100m - £500m)
- Excellent technical knowledge of construction procedures
- MCIOB and degree qualified in a related subject
- Up to date knowledge of building and Health and Safety legislation
- Commercial and contractual awareness
