Project Director

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain excellent working relationships with client teams, designers, consultants, sub-contractors and 3rd party stakeholders
• Maintain company reputation for collaborative approach, delivering safely, on time, within budget, and defect free
• Manage operational aspects of the project to minimise risks and maximise opportunities
• Develop and maintain a robust construction programme
• Ensure procurement schedule is aligned to the construction programme
• Oversee the appointment of all sub-contractors and suppliers
• Oversee the preparation and management of the construction phase health and safety plan
• Lead on Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental compliance
• Organise team structure to optimise resource use
• Work with the project commercial team to ensure delivery within approved cost plans

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Director with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor
• Experience delivering end-to-end construction for large schemes (£100m - £500m)
• Excellent technical knowledge of construction procedures
• MCIOB and degree qualified in a related subject
• Up to date knowledge of building and Health and Safety legislation
• Commercial and contractual awareness
