Project Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to bring energy storage projects to Notice to Proceed (NTP)
• Manage project development deliverables including interconnection, permitting, and environmental assessments
• Define and document RFPs and scope of work packages for 3rd party EPC firms
• Conduct due diligence on potential project sites and technical reports
• Monitor project progress and lead status update meetings with management, utilities, and EPCs
• Manage project documentation, schedules, budgets, and permit compliance
• Maintain relationships with Battery OEMs and balance of plant vendors
• Coordinate internal teams across engineering, construction, procurement, and finance

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in construction project management or related role
• 3+ years of experience developing and constructing behind and in front of the meter energy storage projects
• Familiarity with battery storage design, technical standards, and civil/structural knowledge
• Proficiency in MS Project
• Knowledge of Ontario Electrical Safety Code, NFPA 855, and UL 9540
• PMP certification preferred

• Experience with wind and solar projects
• Strong presentation and executive-level reporting skills
