About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate logistical planning and delivery of community programs and events
- Create event materials including worksheets, presentations, and handouts
- Support planning of culturally inclusive facilitations and hands-on cultural arts activities
- Assist in community engagement, tabling opportunities, and maintaining relationships with local Indigenous programs
- Create engaging content for newsletters using tools like Canva
- Perform administrative functions including reporting, vendor agreements, and expense tracking
- Manage inventory, tracking, and storage of program equipment and materials
- Maintain accurate digital storage of finished projects and reports
Requirements
- Experience serving AI/AN, Indigenous, or other marginalized communities
- Knowledge of Los Angeles County and local community resources
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Familiarity with project coordination and administrative operations (budgeting, reporting)
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Office, and social media platforms
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
