About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistical planning and delivery of community programs and events
  • Create event materials including worksheets, presentations, and handouts
  • Support planning of culturally inclusive facilitations and hands-on cultural arts activities
  • Assist in community engagement, tabling opportunities, and maintaining relationships with local Indigenous programs
  • Create engaging content for newsletters using tools like Canva
  • Perform administrative functions including reporting, vendor agreements, and expense tracking
  • Manage inventory, tracking, and storage of program equipment and materials
  • Maintain accurate digital storage of finished projects and reports

Requirements

  • Experience serving AI/AN, Indigenous, or other marginalized communities
  • Knowledge of Los Angeles County and local community resources
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Familiarity with project coordination and administrative operations (budgeting, reporting)
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Office, and social media platforms
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
