About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the lifecycle of cybersecurity projects, including developing project plans, schedules, and documentation such as RAID logs and Gantt charts.
- Support the PrISM (Privacy and Information Security Management) program, specifically within the Vulnerability Management domain.
- Coordinate project procurement processes, including the production of RFI, RFP, and RFQ documentation.
- Facilitate communication between subject matter experts, stakeholders, and the Cybersecurity Program Manager.
- Assist in the development of business cases, project charters, and implementation plans.
- Organize cybersecurity presentations, training sessions, and "lunch and learn" events for the UBC community.
- Maintain project documentation, track progress, and produce regular status and closure reports.
- Support budget monitoring and reporting as required by the Program Manager.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of three years of related experience in project coordination or project management.
- Proficiency with MS Office Business Productivity Tools.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems.
- Experience working within privacy, cybersecurity, or an academic/public sector environment.
- Professional certification in Project Management or Business Analysis.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
