About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide detailed planning and scheduling for projects from conceptual stages through engineering and construction
- Develop resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules, including activity lists, milestones, and critical deliverables
- Develop schedule logic, constraints, and realistic activity durations while analyzing manpower and resource availability
- Assess the impact of design changes and schedule slippages and communicate updates to management and clients
- Apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology to maintain critical path logic networks
- Interface with clients and provide statistical reports during regular meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
- Basic understanding of financial terms and calculations (e.g., Gain, Loss, Forecast)
- Understanding of cost control methods used in various project types (EPC, Joint Venture, Lump Sum, etc.)
- Ability to work productively, meet deadlines, and communicate professionally in a team environment
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required to meet project deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing resource and cost-loaded schedules
- Knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards
- Proficiency with project controls software such as Excel or Primavera
