About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the integrity and accuracy of project budgets and forecasts for large-scale educational facility construction projects.
  • Participate in monthly Estimate at Completion (EAC) meetings to validate forecasts and justify variances.
  • Conduct thorough cost variance analyses and monitor trends to proactively address budget impacts.
  • Collaborate with schedulers to evaluate cost and schedule performance, identifying potential overruns or delays.
  • Validate cost coding and budget allocations for contract change orders, amendments, and task orders.
  • Manage and monitor Estimate to Complete (ETC) amounts for project budget adjustments.
  • Create comprehensive reports related to budgeting, cost control, auditing, and asset tracking.
  • Perform budget and financial reconciliations to ensure alignment between forecasts and actual expenditures.
  • Support senior leadership with regular and ad hoc financial status and forecasting reports.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of professional experience in project controls, specifically within a capital construction program.
  • BS/BA degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel functions.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with program management software such as e-Builder, DELTEK, or Proliance.
  • Expertise in business intelligence and analytics tools, specifically Power BI and/or Tableau.
  • Hands-on experience with Data Warehousing solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate multiple data sources from various project management and financial systems.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $140,000 - $145,000
