About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee the integrity and accuracy of project budgets and forecasts for large-scale educational facility construction projects.
- Participate in monthly Estimate at Completion (EAC) meetings to validate forecasts and justify variances.
- Conduct thorough cost variance analyses and monitor trends to proactively address budget impacts.
- Collaborate with schedulers to evaluate cost and schedule performance, identifying potential overruns or delays.
- Validate cost coding and budget allocations for contract change orders, amendments, and task orders.
- Manage and monitor Estimate to Complete (ETC) amounts for project budget adjustments.
- Create comprehensive reports related to budgeting, cost control, auditing, and asset tracking.
- Perform budget and financial reconciliations to ensure alignment between forecasts and actual expenditures.
- Support senior leadership with regular and ad hoc financial status and forecasting reports.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of professional experience in project controls, specifically within a capital construction program.
- BS/BA degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel functions.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with program management software such as e-Builder, DELTEK, or Proliance.
- Expertise in business intelligence and analytics tools, specifically Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Hands-on experience with Data Warehousing solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate multiple data sources from various project management and financial systems.
Benefits
- Salary Range: $140,000 - $145,000
