Project Controls Specialist III (Cost Analyst)

Responsibilities

• Monitor project budget integrity and forecasts in accordance with standard operating procedures
• Conduct cost variance analysis to identify trends and mitigate budget impacts
• Provide quality assurance to functional staff regarding financial tracking and cost performance
• Review and oversee monthly cost and progress reports
• Evaluate contract change orders and amendments for impact on budget and timetable
• Review invoices for compliance, proper coding, and encumbrances
• Interact with technical discipline leads to communicate issues impacting the budget
• Ensure implementation of policies and procedures regarding cost management for capital projects
• Serve as the central receiving point for all financial matters for assigned colleges
• Present data to management in an organized and professional manner

Requirements

• 5-10 years of professional experience in program or project controls within a construction program
• BS/BA degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a closely related field
• Proven experience working through the entire project life cycle
• Strong knowledge of cost/schedule management, earned value management, and change management
• Proficiency in forecasting and risk assessment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills
• Proficiency with Proliance, E-Builder Data-Warehouse, or similar large capital program systems
• Previous experience working on educational facility construction projects
