About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the programme controls function for a major rail project in London
  • Establish effective control processes in compliance with GRIP standards
  • Monitor accuracy and consistency of plans, cost, safety, environment, and performance reporting
  • Review new project proposals and ensure realistic, resourceable plans are developed
  • Identify resourcing requirements and liaise with planning units to resolve issues
  • Provide reporting services to Programme and Project Managers regarding costs and performance
  • Monitor data input standards for cost and performance systems
  • Manage the production of the Investment Plan at Territory/Project level

Requirements

  • Proven rail sector experience
  • Experience in planning and scheduling functions including development, control, and analysis
  • Proficiency with Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office Applications
  • Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes
  • Degree qualified in a construction-related subject
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
