About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the programme controls function for infrastructure projects, monitoring accuracy in plans, cost, safety, environment, and performance reporting
  • Establish effective control processes in compliance with the Guide to Railway Investment Projects (GRIP)
  • Review new project proposals and develop realistic resource plans for programme delivery
  • Identify resourcing requirements and liaise with planning functions to resolve issues
  • Provide day-to-day reporting services to Programme and Project Managers regarding costs, safety, and performance
  • Monitor data input from project teams to ensure compliance with required data standards
  • Manage the production of the Investment Plan

Requirements

  • Experience in planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis
  • Proficiency with Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office Applications
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction management
  • Understanding of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with PC operating systems
