About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as the on-site lead for field change management, evaluating technical scope, quantities, schedule, and cost impacts
  • Perform forensic reviews of Contractor Variation Orders and Potential Change Orders to validate entitlement and installed quantities
  • Lead the risk management process, including identification, assessment, and ownership of project risks and opportunities
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk analyses, including Monte Carlo simulations and schedule risk analysis
  • Establish and enforce governance for contingency usage and audit contractor execution contingency and owner management reserve drawdowns
  • Prepare decision-support packages for leadership regarding disputed changes, claims, and risk response strategies
  • Collaborate with project controls, contracts, and field teams to integrate change and risk data into forecasts

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Commercial Law, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost engineering, change management, and contracts administration on major industrial mega-projects
  • Demonstrated forensic capability to interrogate technical scope, installed quantity accuracy, and schedule entitlement
  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative risk management, including Monte Carlo simulations and schedule risk analysis
  • Strong understanding of contingency structures and experience auditing contingency drawdowns

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as AACE (e.g., CCP, CCT, EVP)
  • Experience supporting dispute resolution, claims analysis, or commercial negotiations on large capital projects
  • Familiarity with common contract forms used on large industrial or infrastructure projects
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize technical and commercial data into clear recommendations
