Project Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage project cost engineering functions including budget preparation, cost control, forecasting, and reporting
• Track, update, and monitor project scheduling and cost control functions to ensure deliverables are on time and within budget
• Develop and manage cost control systems to provide accurate financial information to management
• Prepare monthly client invoices and process sub-consultancy service invoices for payment
• Facilitate the development of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in coordination with Procurement, Engineering, and Finance
• Perform data analysis within project management systems and create visual presentations to illustrate cost status
• Develop and maintain critical path logic networks, bar charts, and schedules
• Analyze and forecast status against established baseline schedules and assess the impact of design or construction changes
• Implement and maintain an Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and analyze performance indicators (CPI and SPI)
• Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts while providing corrective action recommendations to management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of related work experience
• Basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or a related field
• Proficiency in Project Controls software and Project Management software tools
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of Power BI
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to manage demanding deadlines and build strong professional relationships
