About the role

Responsibilities

  • Create, track, and report project progress to ensure Project Managers stay within budget and meet deadlines
  • Maintain financial forecasts for weekly invoicing projections in collaboration with Project Managers
  • Coordinate regular meetings with internal teams to review financial status and address pending action items
  • Maintain detailed project lists tracking KPIs such as backlog, unsupported revenue, and underbillings
  • Assist in preparing monthly construction work-in-progress (WIP) files to review financial performance
  • Provide financial impact analysis and special project support to the executive team and operations department
  • Assist the accounting department in resolving vendor purchase order discrepancies
  • Monitor accounts receivable for assigned project managers to ensure timely invoice payments
  • Perform capital expenditure studies to compare the financial impact of owning versus leasing equipment

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis functions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Experience with QuickBase or other relational database applications
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • General understanding of accounting concepts and practices
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in wireless, telecommunications, construction, or public utility industries
  • Three years of relevant industry experience
  • Familiarity with the percentage of completion revenue recognition method and WIP processes
