Project Commodity Buyer Mechanics

Responsibilities

• Safeguard the procurement process from acquisition through serial ramp-down based on a RASCI-matrix
• Manage targeted budgets including risk and opportunity management for relevant commodities
• Support competitive pricing of the Bill of Material during project acquisition in alignment with Sales
• Ensure project commodity targets are met regarding part pricing, tooling costs, investments, and timing
• Conduct market screening to recognize trends and action fields early
• Execute the full sourcing process including RFI/RFQ, negotiation, awarding, and contracting
• Manage supplier escalations and industrialization of components with cross-functional teams
• Drive NPP savings through VAVE and other initiatives in tandem with Global Commodity Management

Requirements

• Background in Economics and/or Engineering studies
• Expertise in Purchasing and procurement processes
• Automotive industry experience
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and negotiation competencies
• Intercultural competencies
• Fluent English skills
• Willingness to travel
