Project Civil/Construction Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage civil infrastructure construction projects to ensure strict adherence to quality control and assurance standards.
• Lead site activities, including the supervision of labour, equipment, and materials while maintaining rigorous safety and quality records.
• Support the preparation of construction plans, programs, tenders, and technical reports.
• Apply engineering techniques to analyze drawings, estimate costs, and manage project budgets.
• Deliver site-based solutions, including the installation and commissioning of instrumentation equipment for mining and construction projects.
• Maintain and operate instrumentation and data logging systems, utilizing technologies such as Campbell Scientific and telemetry systems.
• Collaborate with project teams and communicate progress to senior engineers and managers.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related discipline.
• Experience in medium to large civil infrastructure construction with a focus on Quality Control and Assurance.
• Fieldwork experience in instrumentation, electronics, or site-based engineering.
• Technical expertise in data logging (Campbell Scientific preferred) and telemetry systems (IP, Wireless, Radio, or Satellite).
• Manual driver's licence.
• Willingness to travel for FIFO assignments and work primarily on-site.
• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with geotechnical instrumentation.
• Experience in earthworks and liner installation.
