Project Buyer

Responsibilities

• Manage the sourcing process for metal pipes from early project concept through to production readiness
• Drive the RFQ process, including package preparation, quote analysis, and supplier interface
• Ensure supplier selection aligns with project targets, timelines, and cost objectives (COA)
• Forecast cost evolution and negotiate changes after contract signature to ensure continuous target fulfillment
• Monitor and mitigate risks in collaboration with quality and supplier teams for parts under development
• Align cross-functional teams on sourcing deadlines and maintain accurate project information in SAP ARIBA
• Drive continuous improvement and excellence within the segment to meet business strategies

Requirements

• University degree (BE / B.Tech) in Mechanical, Automobile, or Industrial Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a buyer within the automotive industry
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills with an ownership mindset
• Proven expertise in project management and driving sourcing activities end-to-end
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and best practice costing
• Excellent interpersonal, networking, and communication skills
