About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Lead Buyer for local teams in regional and global development programs
- Negotiate optimal pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers
- Lead sourcing activities for BOM components and manage supplier relationships
- Track and manage program deliverables, including sourcing status, financials, and supplier timing
- Support and drive cost-reduction initiatives in line with purchasing objectives
- Prepare, issue, and analyze Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and issue purchase orders
- Lead or assist in resolving production, design, quality, and delivery issues
- Coordinate cross-functional meetings with program teams and suppliers
- Oversee engineering changes, tool transfers, and benchmarking activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field
- 2-5 years of purchasing or program purchasing experience
- Experience in a manufacturing industry environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Fluency in English (mandatory)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
