Project Budget Management Engineer/Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Develop project budgets and forecasts in collaboration with technical managers, department heads, and Project Managers.
• Calculate and map costs for new projects, including resources, materials, machinery, and IT infrastructure.
• Track expenditure progress and forecast remaining costs while highlighting any budget variances.
• Assess the cost impact of any changes to project scope.
• Ensure information traceability using tables, charts, and PowerPoint to present budget status.
• Support Project Managers in updating expenditure assumptions and lead annual budget re-evaluation processes.
• Communicate delays, spending issues, or resource allocation conflicts to relevant technical teams and drive corrective actions.
• Work on improving financial tools and sharing best practices for cost management.

Requirements

• Master's degree (Bac +5) in Engineering or Finance.
• At least 2 years of experience in project budget planning and monitoring.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Fluency in both English and Italian (written and spoken).
• Strong analytical, synthesis, and writing skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and maintain high levels of rigor.
