Project Architect

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, organization, and direction of architectural projects throughout their entire life cycle.
• Develop design concepts using sketches, physical models, and electronic BIM technologies.
• Prepare and revise comprehensive architectural documentation, including site plans, floor plans, elevations, and sections.
• Interpret and apply building codes, accessibility requirements, and other regulatory standards.
• Coordinate project workflows and lead meetings with internal teams, external consultants, owners, and contractors.
• Manage contract administration tasks, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and conducting site observations.
• Ensure project work conforms to established budgets, schedules, and quality control standards.

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 10 years of architectural experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of accessibility codes and applicable building codes.
• Ability to communicate abstract ideas effectively through both verbal and written means.

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered Architect (RA) status.
• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP certification.
• Experience in educational sector architecture.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUP, Newforma, Sefaira, or Bluebeam.
