Project Accountant Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of Financial Transaction Coordinators to ensure timely time entry, client reporting, and billing
• Oversee month-end close activities, including A/R invoices and GL accruals
• Prepare detailed variance analysis on revenue changes and margin drivers
• Facilitate weekly A/R and WIP aging meetings to manage past-due transactions and holdbacks
• Generate weekly and monthly reports on project performance and working capital aging
• Collaborate with Operations on project setup and rate analysis

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Accounting
• Experience in the Oil & Gas industry preferred
• Expertise in forecasting and project profitability analysis
• Proficiency in accounts payable/receivable, month-end processes, and MS Excel
• University Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Pursuing or holding a CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA designation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IFS software
• Track record of supporting DSO improvement
• Experience handling customer audits
