Project Accountant

Responsibilities

• Setup new projects and associated budgets in the financial system in accordance with contract terms
• Assist with contract interpretation, tracking change orders, fee adjustments, and other modifications
• Work closely with Project Managers and Studio leaders to ensure accurate billing and financial reporting
• Monitor and analyze project budgets, expenditures, and financial performance/profitability
• Prepare, review, and issue monthly invoices to clients with required supporting documentation
• Maintain Subconsultant Agreements and coordinate subconsultant invoices and payments
• Monitor studio account receivables and ensure outstanding invoices are collected timely
• Apply project accounting principles including billing terms and revenue recognition

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or Accounting
• At least three years of related experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Deltek Vantagepoint software
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with different personality types
• Strong critical thinking and meticulous attention to detail
