Programming Language Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design language features and type systems for stronger compile-time guarantees
• Invest in compiler optimisation, code generation, and backend performance
• Build runtimes for incremental and parallel computation across cores and machines
• Develop domain-specific languages and internal tooling
• Improve developer experience through profilers, debuggers, language servers, and IDE integrations
• Contribute to open-source language implementations such as OCaml and Python

Requirements

• Deep experience with programming languages, including design, type systems, compilers, runtimes, or DSLs
• Top-notch programming skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in close-knit teams
• Fluency in English
