About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the schedule for program and events calendars
  • Act as the first point of contact for CRIS enquiries and manage intake records
  • Determine logistical details, activities, and recommendations for events and programming
  • Coordinate the preparation and distribution of promotional and outreach materials
  • Maintain information on digital platforms, including websites and e-communication tools
  • Edit content for brochures, newsletters, websites, and handbooks
  • Provide orientation to others on work procedures, including event registration and equipment booking
  • Collect and collate data such as registration information and post-event evaluations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in planning and executing logistics for small to large-scale programs and events
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Bookings) and virtual collaboration platforms (MS Teams, Zoom, SharePoint)
  • Strong proficiency with website tools such as WordPress and e-communication apps like Mailchimp
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with faculty and senior leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with research and innovation administration
  • Prior experience working in a research-focused environment
  • Knowledge of University of Toronto research and innovation policies and resources
