About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the schedule for program and events calendars
- Act as the first point of contact for CRIS enquiries and manage intake records
- Determine logistical details, activities, and recommendations for events and programming
- Coordinate the preparation and distribution of promotional and outreach materials
- Maintain information on digital platforms, including websites and e-communication tools
- Edit content for brochures, newsletters, websites, and handbooks
- Provide orientation to others on work procedures, including event registration and equipment booking
- Collect and collate data such as registration information and post-event evaluations
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience in planning and executing logistics for small to large-scale programs and events
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Bookings) and virtual collaboration platforms (MS Teams, Zoom, SharePoint)
- Strong proficiency with website tools such as WordPress and e-communication apps like Mailchimp
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with faculty and senior leaders
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with research and innovation administration
- Prior experience working in a research-focused environment
- Knowledge of University of Toronto research and innovation policies and resources
