About the role
Responsibilities
- Program, test, debug, and maintain software application modules for Student Housing and Community Services.
- Develop small modules of larger departmental applications and enhance existing program logic using PL/SQL and phpDesigner tools.
- Provide technical advice and propose programming solutions to meet changing business needs.
- Collaborate with other developers on application design, ER diagrams, and ETL processes.
- Conduct unit testing to ensure business functionality and participate in code reviews.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting by extracting data from Oracle databases using Microsoft Report Builder.
- Prepare programming documentation, flowcharts, and system procedures.
- Support software development lifecycles and troubleshoot software/hardware interfaces, including door access and POS terminals.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of PHP, SQL, and JavaScript.
- Proficiency with the Windows operating system.

- Effective and methodical troubleshooting skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and within a team under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current information technology techniques and tools.
