About the role
Responsibilities
- Interact with customers and end users to define requirements
- Document program code clearly
- Troubleshoot and debug existing code
- Perform thorough testing of code and fixes to ensure quality
- Provide programming support for various interfaces
- Keep key contacts informed of enhancements, troubleshooting, and fixes
- Complete and adhere to project estimates
Requirements
- Minimum of five years experience programming in RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, CLP, or DDS on IBM iSeries
- Experience with Sterling Gentran for iSeries EDI translator
- Experience with GXS (Inovis) Trustedlink for iSeries EDI translator
- Knowledge of data communication methods such as VAN, FTP, or AS2
- Experience with ANSI X12 EDI standards and Motor Carrier EDI documents (EDI 204/211, 210, 214) is an asset
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
