About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering leadership for multi-location, hybrid teams through the design, development, and production of Control Actuator systems.
- Generate and coordinate engineering development plans aligned with Raytheon standards and programme needs from bid phase to delivery.
- Manage work packages and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with the Integrated Programme Team.
- Act as the primary external point of contact and liaison for key internal and external customer organisations, including potential travel to the USA.
- Ensure technical integrity through close liaison with Test Development leaders and Project Design Authorities.
- Manage risk and change for all engineering deliverables, including planning, mitigation, and monitoring.
- Oversee adherence to programme baseline schedules and budgets using Earned Value techniques.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in engineering project management and leading multi-disciplinary, high-performance teams.
- Full understanding of product development lifecycles and lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of engineering budgets and experience utilizing Earned Value Techniques.
- Proficiency in work package management systems and reporting tools, such as MS Project.
- Broad technical background with experience in product engineering design and integration.
- BSc or BEng in Engineering or Science.
- Eligibility to obtain SC Clearance and ability to pass a BPSS security check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the UK/US international defence industry or similar sectors.
- Experience with automated test equipment (ATE), test development processes, instrumentation, and software.
- Proficiency with National Instruments Labview or Teststand.
- Understanding of actuator systems, gearboxes, and associated control systems.
