Programme Advisory – Business Case & Funding Advisory (Defence Sector)

Responsibilities

• Support clients in developing, implementing, and optimising procurement and funding strategies for Net Zero targets
• Develop HMT Green Book business cases across all five cases
• Contribute to strategic and commercial assessment of business challenges and implement optimal solutions
• Engage and influence a wide range of clients and stakeholders to realise business outcomes
• Deploy and improve established processes, tools, and systems
• Identify and progress business generation opportunities
• Travel as required to support client needs

Requirements

• Ability to attain UK MoD Security Clearance (British Nationals only)
• Experience of government Greenbook business case development
• Experience in the Defence and/or public infrastructure sector
• Knowledge of HMT Green Book Business Case Economic principles
• Understanding of economic benefit assessment, including social value and low carbon transition
• Experience with government departmental governance processes for HMT Green Book approvals
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or MBA qualification
• Experience assuring HMT Greenbook Business Cases
• Experience in renewable energy, decarbonization, transport, or water services sectors
• Experience in effective management within multi-stakeholder environments
• Proven capability as a commercial influencer and trusted advisor
